Not in every case it is important to use a chemical hose, because all of the rubber types are acid-base resistant on some level. When choosing the perfect hose it has to be clear what material resists what chemical. The most well-known chemical resistant type is the EPDM rubber, but to strong solvents (e.g. toluol), to strong acids (e.g. 75% sulfuric acid) only the PTFE or UPE layer hoses can be used.
